fringe  what?  why?  where?
 

Fringe Meadery released its first bottles in the summer of 2015. After much research and development in the business of fermentation, Fringe is now fully underway and has many new seasonal releases in store over the coming months.

Nathan Mattis is the meadmaker and founder of Fringe.

He is trained in the art of fine winemaking and holds a Masters degree in Viticulture & Enology from U.C. Davis in California.  He has worked at different wineries in all facets of production, from pumping out large scale volumes of red wine in central Washington to nursing small batches of premium Chardonnay in Napa Valley.

 

Last night, as I was sleeping,
I dreamt—marvelous error!—
that I had a beehive
here inside my heart.

And the golden bees
were making white combs
and sweet honey
